African Delight

AFRICAN DELIGHT IS A POPULAR LATE-SEASON GRAPE VARIETAL WITH EXCEPTIONAL JUICINESS.

African Delight is a red seeded grape, more round, like a plum. The yellow flesh is sweet and has a good amount of juice content. This grape only grows in South Africa and is a popular variety to plant among growers. It is predicted that the African Delight will be the 3rd highest volume variety by 2021.

These grapes are usually harvested at the end of February with availability up until April.

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC), Infruitec-Nietvoorbij in South Africa bred the ARC PR00-29 and it was released in 2008. Culdevco commercialised the variety and registered it as African Delight.
